We welcome Unitarian Universalist couples, as well as couples from differing faith traditions, or couples who have no current or past religious background. We actively support same-sex marriage. How to begin your planningThe first step to planning a ceremony at UUCW is to ensure that you have secured a Unitarian Universalist wedding officiant. Our Minister, the Rev. Suzelle Lynch may be available, but if she is not, our office has a list of other UU clergy or officiants you can contact. Second, join us on a Sunday morning to experience the life and energy of our congregation and the aesthetics of our Sanctuary, Community Room and Campus. Third, check with the UUCW office regarding the availability of the facilities for the date you have selected. You can call us at (262) 782-3535, ext. 10 or use the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page. After securing a date, our Administrative Coordinator will contact you to assist in the planning of your wedding arrangements. The nature of a Unitarian Universalist wedding or commitment ceremonyOur wedding and commitment ceremonies are lovely and creative. They reflect the personalities of the couple while upholding the deep Unitarian Universalist belief in the inherent value and worth of every human being. Our weddings center on the couple getting married and on their friends and family who love them and will support them as they join their lives. Please note that as a Unitarian Universalist Association, we welcome and encourage participation by all persons without regard to race, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, language, citizenship status, economic status, or national origin and without requiring adherence to any particular religious belief or creed. |
