 Outreach Giving: Split the Plate
What does Split the Plate mean? Beginning January 1, 2009 UUCW began setting aside 50% of all “non-designated” Sunday offering $$$ to give to non-profit organizations.
Why would we do this? Churches that are practicing this kind of generous giving are better able to empower and advocate for those in need. Giving also helps the church make a visible difference in the wider community.
How can I help? We encourage you to give, but we also seek your suggestions for non-profit or charity groups you feel should receive UUCW funding.
What else can I do? Come Join the Split the Plate Team, or simply come and offer your suggestions.
