The Social Action Council is composed of church members who oversee our Social Action Endowment, help start new social justice projects, and support our many active project teams:

Unitarian Universalist Church West embarked on a new approach to its practice of social justice in 2008: focusing on a year-long social action theme. Our educational curriculum, movie nights, Sunday services, service projects and action projects concentrate on our theme as much as possible. Our themes so far:
The Social Action Council also oversees the Social Action Endowment Fund. The committee awards grants from the earnings of this fund, currently valued at approximately $58,000. Contact any member of the Social Action Council to propose a grant.
