Each month, UUCW gives half of all undesignated offering monies to a non-profit organization as a way to help us live our Unitarian Universalist values and serve our community.
CORE/El Centro, a non-profit organization located in Walker's Point on Milwaukee's south side, offers wellness services in Spanish and English. CORE/El Centro offers a wide range of natural healing services for individuals, weaving aliveness, compassion, respect and joy into all of its programming. CORE/El Centro believes that health is a celebration for all to enjoy, and they invite people to participate in their programming to reconnect with their own wholistic wisdom and to take charge of their health and wellness.
CORE/El Centro offers integrative healing services such as acupuncture, massage therapy and body work; gardening and nutrition programs; children's wellness; social change through community health advocacy; and movement classes. Our goal is to inspire individuals, families and communities to achieve optimal health.
As an individual’s overall health increases, the health of their families, and that of local, national and international communities increases as well. CORE/El Centro believes that gathering people from all income levels, cultures, beliefs and body types together positively affects both the reduction of isolation and the formation of community.
