The Board of Trustees is looking for folks who enjoy the Chili Cook-off to be involved in the planning and execution of the event. The Stewardship Committee has happily led the charge for the past two years, but it’s time for others to step in. Thank you, Stewardship Committee! The Board is looking for a small team to plan the Chili Cook-off, and this planning team will add other church members and friends to work at the actual event.
What does planning entail? The planning team will work with Church staff to find the best time to have the event, publicize the event, and organize the contestants and judging. And remember – the Stewardship Team will be around to offer useful notes from the past years.
The Chili Cookoff is an event that lends itself to community interest and participation, and many church members tell us that this is one of their favorite events. If you want to be a part of this UUCW tradition, please contact Vicki Banville.
