Our church activity is blooming. I am excited by many upcoming events. We emphasized how your Stewardship- your giving to UUCW supports the whole community. We still have many lay pastoral care requests. Thank you for supporting all our efforts and ways we all share our caring and ministry here. Contact me if you would like pastoral care.

The Chili Fest already has a date for September 17 (mark your calendar). The Earth Ministry team has a new film they are watching for a movie night on April 22. Our safety team is finalizing their grant work. Our fabulous house band, Kaleidoscope, will be unveiling a new song at the Memorial Day service the UUA and Rev. Susan Frederick-Gray is leading.

There are signs all over of us rooting back on North Avenue. The OWL – Our Whole Lives, a values-based human sexuality class for 7th-9th graders is our largest ever. We are looking at offering an older kids class next year. New this year is that we are charging for non-members. We are also collaborating with United UU in Waukesha and Lake Country UU in Hartland sharing teachers. Our reach and depth are much stronger because of this. OWL is another way we care for our community. Contact Dave Cicero if you would like to get involved with RE. We need people to contact RE families to re-engage them.

The UUCW Adult Choir is coming back in person and expanding its offerings with special choirs like the one for Beltane and the new Cantor program. The Adult Choir is often our largest affinity group and part of how we care for one another. Contact Ruben Piirainen if you want to sing.

The Christian Affinity Group for UU’s is starting up this month with more than 20 of you interested in connecting around prayer and that theology. Contact Jim Maletta if you are interested.

In kindness,

Reverend Denise
