Wisconsin COVID cases continue to be “Critically High” (>1000 cases/100,000 individuals). Experts worry that the current post-Thanksgiving surge will only worsen as we head into more winter holidays. Please continue to follow these precautions:
- Stay home when you can.
- Wear a mask, keep 6 feet apart from others, and use hand sanitizer when you do go out.
- Staying home and celebrating the holidays with those in your household is the best way to protect yourself and others.
The Re-Opening / COVID (ROC-19) Task Force continues to meet via Zoom regularly to discuss how to keep our congregation safe during the pandemic. Topics that we are working on include how to determine when it is safe to re-open church when vaccines become widely available (realistically late Spring or Summer); the need for ongoing virtual services and the technology to allow for an interactive experience with live streaming services; facility preparation for safe occupancy including distancing, ventilation, etc.
Contact Stephanie Wahlen, Task Force Chair if you have any questions. Other task force members include Cathy Boerner, Shawn Fanning, Kal Larson, John Meurer, and Melissa Taylor.
