We Can Make a Difference for the Earth Through Our Buying Decisions
For the next several months, we will be sharing ideas about how all of us can make better choices for the Earth when buying goods and services. Nearly all of our environmental challenges can be traced back to our growing consumption of all types of products, which drives more resource extraction, more land use, more fossil fuel use, more plastic packaging, and more waste. The UN’s Sustainable Development Goal #12 calls out the need for more responsible production and consumption. It’s a huge issue globally, but one that we all can impact each day in many ways. As we move into the holiday season, be sure to read our ideas and share your own with other UUCW members.
