Beloved Conversations Program on Race

Beloved Conversations is a powerful program that can help us builds skills for more authentic cross-racial relationships.  Join in and explore the role of race/ethnicity plays in your life and at UUCW.

The Beloved Conversations program recognizes how centuries of racially-informed social, emotional, and spiritual practices wound every person, no matter our racial and/or ethnic identity. It uses a small-group ministry format to help us talk with one another about our experiences, while we work to identify places where we need to grow. It helps us learn how to live and act in a spirit of reconciliation that brings growth and spiritual healing. Beloved Conversations also offers real-time faith formation resources designed for people of color, and it offers support to help us make change at UUCW: real, institutional change.

BELOVED CONVERSATIONS BEGINS with a Large Group Opening Retreat held in Milwaukee in collaboration with First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee and United UU Congregation of Waukesha.
