Unitarian Universalists believe that every child brings new hope into the world. Our ceremony of Child Dedication, which will be held on Sunday, November 10, is an opportunity for our church community to bless the children or grandchildren who are new among us. It’s also one way we dedicate ourselves to aiding the families of our congregation’s children in their religious growth.
Children of all ages who are the children of church members are welcome to participate in this moving ceremony with their parents. Families often invite grandparents, godparents, and other significant people in the child’s life to church this day and are welcome to stand with the family during the ceremony.
To express interest in having a child dedicated on November 10, contact Dave Cicero, Director of Lifespan Religious Education, no later than October 31.
