This summer, climate change impacts are more evident than ever before. On Friday, October 9th at 7:00 pm, Earth Ministry invites you to a presentation featuring Alice Thompson, a wetland scientist who consults on local wetland issues. In 2019 she was trained as a Climate Reality Leader in Minneapolis St Paul and is active in the Milwaukee Climate Reality Chapter. Having witnessed climate change impacts on Wisconsin’s natural landscapes, and as a grandmother of two, she feels an urgency in the kind of world we are handing off to the next generation.
Her presentation includes the science of greenhouse gas emissions, the most recent impacts of climate change, and available solutions to avert the most devastating consequences. How can we have climate conversations in the midst of COVID 19? Alice will share talking points developed by the Framework Institute to help us converse with others about the critical issue of climate change.
