The Earth Ministry’s Donation Rotation on November 8 features a dual collection: Christmas decorations and re-gifting items. This provides a practical way to manage unused holiday goods ahead of the season.
How It Works Bring your donations to the Community Room before the service. Volunteers will sort the items, and everyone may browse and take items home after worship. There is no cost to participate, and bringing a donation is not required.
Christmas Decorations Pass along seasonal items for others to use during the holidays, such as:
- Ornaments, lights, and tree accessories
- Wreaths, stockings, and garlands
- Holiday centerpieces and indoor decor
Re-gifting Items Bring items that can be repurposed as gifts or used in holiday exchanges, including:
- Unused or new-in-box items
- Unopened gift sets
- Novelty goods suitable for White Elephant exchanges
Reusing these goods keeps them out of landfills and reduces seasonal waste. All leftover items will be donated to Our Space, a Milwaukee-based, peer-run non-profit offering a mental health drop-in center, psychosocial rehabilitation, and recovery support services. Thank you to Mary Ross for continuing to deliver these items.
