Whether you’re looking to refresh your weekend wardrobe, clear out seasonal decor, or pick up materials for a creative project, this month’s swap offers two great ways to give pre-loved items a second life.
How It Works Bring your donations to the Community Room before the service. Volunteers will sort everything, and after worship, everyone is invited to browse and take home items at no cost. No donation is required to participate.
Graphic Apparel & Gear Give personality-packed items a new home, or grab printed fabrics to repurpose into quilts and crafts.
- Graphic t-shirts and sweatshirts (sports teams, travel, funny quotes)
- Printed cloth shopping bags and totes
- Novelty hats, caps, and bandanas
Fall Holiday Decor Pass along seasonal cheer and help neighbors deck their halls for the upcoming autumn months.
- Halloween decorations and costumes
- Thanksgiving table settings and centerpieces
- General fall decor (pumpkins and harvest themed items)
Reusing these goods keeps usable items out of landfills, saves resources, and builds community connection. Come browse, swap, and find something fun to take home!
All leftover items will be donated to Our Space. Our Space is a Milwaukee-based, peer-run non-profit organization located at 1527 W. National Avenue. Founded in 1987, it provides a mental health drop-in center, psychosocial rehabilitation, and recovery support services empowering adults navigating mental illness and substance use.
