Share some holiday joy with your fellow UUCW members or friends!
During these COVID times, many folks are unable to get together for gift giving or holiday meals. It’s easy for members living on their own and residents of retirement communities to feel isolated – and all of us long to connect and to make a difference in the lives of our friends and neighbors.
The UUCW Gift Genie program can help! You are invited to participate as a Gift Genie Giver and/or as a Gift Genie Receiver.
Gift Genie Givers write a note of joy and support and place it in a gift bag with a small present and/or treat (see list of suggestions below). Drop off your gift bag at the church between 9 am and 2 pm from December 15 – 18 (extended time on December 16 until 6 pm). Volunteers will then deliver your gift on or before December 22 to a Gift Genie Receiver. You will not know who received your offering, but they will know the gift came from you!
Gift Genie Receivers sign up to give your fellow UUCW members and friends the chance to share holiday joy with you! A gift bag will be delivered to you on or before December 22 – including the name(s) of the givers (so you may thank them if you wish). Please don’t be shy about signing up as a GGR – giving someone the chance to cherish and appreciate you is one of the BEST gifts of the holiday season!
