UUCW’s Earth Ministry is participating in Waukesha County’s highway clean-up program. This program welcomes organizations such as churches to sponsor a two-mile section of a County Highway in Waukesha County. Our section is from Springdale Rd. To Brookfield Rd. along North Ave.
UUCW’s name is now appearing on a roadside sign in our section. What does UUCW need to do? Three times a year from April 1 to November 1, we are to clear litter from our section of County Highway “right-of-way”.
Our first clean-up is scheduled for October 19th from 9 am to noon. While garbage bags and safety vests are provided, please bring your own work gloves. We will meet at UUCW and carpool to the starting point. Note: All participants must be 11 years old or in sixth grade.
