Trustandjustice.org defines implicit bias (also known as implicit social cognition) as “…attitudes or stereotypes that affect our understanding, actions, and decisions in an unconscious manner. These biases, which encompass both favorable and unfavorable assessments, are activated involuntarily and without an individual’s awareness or intentional control.”

Implicit bias’ is operational in every member of society. MICAH offers an opportunity to learn more about ways that implicit racial bias affects us in our everyday lives. Training and lunch are from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm (potluck, please bring something to share) on Saturday, June 8. The cost is FREE!

New location: Lake Park Lutheran Church, 2647 N. Stowell Ave., Milwaukee
