It’s Spring Clean-up time at UUCW!

May 7th, 2022

After a never-ending winter, it’s time once more to clean up our church property. The annual spring clean-up will be on Saturday, May 7th from 9 am – 1 pm. Typical spring cleanup jobs include picking up branches, pruning shrubs, trimming tall grasses, and weeding.

This year there are several bigger tasks that need to be tackled: Re-doing the light pole bed near the east entrance which looks tattered after the new light pole installation. Filling low spots and re-seeding grass after the well removal. Filling the ruts along the east-west driveway and reseeding. Planting the 2 trees donated for the Beltane Service and Earth Day.

Tools are available, but anyone is welcome to bring their own. Tools needed may include work gloves, rakes, shovels, pruning shears, and leaf blowers. Indoor work is available for anyone interested.

Youth are invited to work alongside their family.

If you can’t help with the workday, consider providing some treats (bars, bread, or cookies) for the hard-working crew.
