Leadership Mini-Retreat and Potluck

What would it look like for congregational leadership to nourish us spiritually and sustainably?

As the new church year gets underway, let’s gather and reflect on HOW we do leadership and how that affects us and our congregation. We’ll explore how leadership can become less exhausting and more life-giving by:

  • Reconnecting leadership with mission and spiritual purpose
  • Identifying patterns that make leadership unsustainable
  • Challenging assumptions about what a “good leader” should do
  • Practicing healthy boundaries
  • Leading meetings grounded in purpose and relationship
  • Furthering a culture of shared ministry

The goal is NOT to help us become “better” leaders by asking folks to do more. Rather, we’ll explore leadership practices that are worthy of people’s gifts and sustainable for the humans who are offering them.

This combination mini-retreat and potluck is for both UUCW leaders and anyone interested in leadership in congregational life. If you’d like to help with setup and/or cleanup, please reach out to Rev. Jill.
