UUCW has been meeting with three other churches in Wauwatosa that belong to MICAH to see if we can work together on social justice issues of concern to residents of Wauwatosa – St Matthew’s Lutheran, Wauwatosa Ave Methodist Church, and Mt. Zion Lutheran.
The next meeting is Mon. March 27th from 6:30 – 8 pm at Mt Zion Lutheran, 12012 W North Ave, Wauwatosa. Ann Heidkamp has been attending but we need additional Wauwatosa UUCW members to help get this initiative off the ground. Could this be your way to help create change in your community? Since all good organizing begins with listening to the concerns of local people, the group is planning a “Listening Session” on Thursday, April 20 from 6:30 – 8 pm for members of each of the churches and to begin to identify local issues and learn how to gather information from others.
