MICAH We Rise: Building a Healthy Community – A Black History Celebration

February 11th, 2021

Join the UUCW Social Action Council and MICAH Members for an inspirational and informative evening as MICAH raise money to expand our staff with a new organizer and full-time office assistant!

Our focus for the evening will be Building a Healthy Community. Together, we will connect the past work for justice to the present work by lifting up the many examples of individuals and organizations who/that are working to make Milwaukee a healthier place for all, right now.

Guest Speaker for the Evening: Dr. Aronica Williams, Chief Medical Officer – Milwaukee Health Services

Spoken Word: Dasha Kelly, Wisconsin and Milwaukee Poet Laureate

The program will include health information, music, dance, inspirational prayers, spoken word, artist sharing, an opportunity for you to share the name of and information about a person or group you think is making a difference by Building A Healthy Community

Good News — We have purchased 10 tickets to the MICAH Black History Celebration fundraiser and you’re welcome to have one! Please send your email address to Ann Heidkamp, Social Action Council chair, so she can send you the link.
