The RE Council invites you to join us for our upcoming potluck and film night. To commemorate the 90th anniversary of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s birth, January’s film will be “King in the Wilderness.”

Directed by Peter Kunhardt, “King in the Wilderness” utilizes rare footage and interviews with some of King’s closest colleagues to create a documentary that takes an in-depth look at the struggles and violence that King endured during his conceptualization of the “Poor People’s Campaign”, and the turbulence that proceeded King’s assassination. The movie is rated TV-14 and is 1 hour and 50 minutes long.

Gathering will begin at 5:30 pm, in the community room, with the film starting at 6:00 pm. If able, please bring a dish to pass.
