Unitarian Universalists find food for mind and soul in many different sources of religious wisdom — one of them is the sacred cycle of life, death and regeneration honored in earth-centered religious traditions (sometimes called pagan or Wiccan traditions.) Today we celebrate Samhain, a holiday marking the end of the harvest season, and the acceptance of death as part of life. People in early agrarian cultures honored Samhain as a time to take stock of their accomplishments, to honor their beloved dead, and to look forward into the coming year — we will, too!
