What if to “side with love” meant making bold, faith-full choices? What if it were even a little bit scary? This worship service brings together worship leaders and musicians from across the country to offer hopeful, moving, challenging reminders about what we, as Unitarian Universalists, are called to do, and BE, in the world.

Following a Facebook Live introduction by Rev. Suzelle Lynch at 9:45 am, the Unitarian Universalist Association presents this special service. The Rev. Erika Hewitt, UUA Minister of Worship Arts, carefully recruited a range of UU religious professionals and lay leaders to bring this service to full expression. All of the worship participants speak from their lived experience, which is grounded in at least one marginalized identity:
Dr. Takiyah Nur Amin
Rev. Michael Crumpler
Julica Hermann de la Fuente
Dr. Tuli Patel
Music provided by Pastor David B. Smith of All Souls UU Church in Tulsa, OK, and by the choir of First Unitarian Society of Brooklyn, NY under the direction of Adam Podd.
