Join Social Justice Action Coordinating Team in participating in the UUA multigenerational Common Read, Social Change Now: A Guide for Reflection and Connection, and We Are the Builders by Deepa Iyer. This Common Read will help us live into our shared values by offering a path to pursue the social justice missions we share. As UUA President Sofia Betancourt states, “these days we need ways to work effectively together to Meet This Moment.” The series of discussions will provide a structure for UUCW to improve partnerships with broader social justice movements and respond to the needs of the world.
The group will meet at UUCW on Saturdays, March 7, 14, and 21, 2026
10:00 am – 11:30 am
The program is designed for school-aged children (ages 5+), youth, and adults. SJ-ACT will be purchasing the books.
