Speaking Out: Why I Stand

February 16th, 2020

Advocate and minister-in-formation Peighton Carter joins us during this month themed on Resilience to speak about her experiences with military sexual trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress, invisible disabilities, and how Unitarian Universalism influenced her road to ministry and healing. Singer-songwriters Craig Siemsen & Patty Stevenson offer Special Music today!

About our Guest: Peighton Carter lives in La Crosse, WI and will finish her two-year ministerial internship in May. Her focus is storytelling and narrative justice, particularly around the topics of disabilities and veterans’ issues. She loves preaching at a variety of UU congregations and enjoys their differences.
