The play tells the story of widower Homer who lives a solitary life in an old lighthouse, painting and fishing. As he deals with his cancer, his routine is disturbed by the local townspeople, and the return of his estranged daughter. Homer gradually warms to the newcomers, spinning tales of faraway places and his adventures. But are the adventures real, or only in his mind?
