Summer of Solidarity Series – Mass Supervision in Wisconsin

Loading Events

This Friday, Human Rights Watch will be issuing a national report on issues related to “Extended Supervision”, and the report singles out Wisconsin as a state very much in need of reform – something EXPO and WISDOM have been trying to get attention to for years! The principal author of the Human Rights Watch report will join us on Saturday, as will some members of EXPO who will give first-hand accounts of the impact of excessive “Supervision,” Crimeless Revocation, and the like.

To register, go here. As soon as you register, you should get an email back with the link to join us on Saturday.

MICAH/WISDOM’s “Summer of Solidarity” series of Zoom sessions continue all summer!
Join us every Saturday morning, from 10 am until 12 noon, for an interactive webinar that highlights a different issue. Everyone is welcome, whether you are a beginner or an old-timer!

Each Saturday will each be dedicated to a different issue that people in the MICAH (Milwaukee Inner-City Congregations Allied for Hope ) and WISDOM networks are working on. Broaden your knowledge about issues you might not be working on yourself.

In the network, we are all striving for racial and economic justice; we are all working to build a more compassionate, equitable, sustainable community in our state and nation. We are trying to build the “beloved community” through many different kinds of campaigns. Through this Summer of Solidarity, you may discover a campaign you want to be part of or find a way to better understand the work of other organizers and to feel the deep connection we all share. For more information, contact WISDOM

We hope to see many of you for one or more action opportunities listed below. Please DO share this information with others!
