In February UUCW hosted a MICAH presentation with Rev. Jennifer Butler of Faith in Public Life on The Rise of the Christian Right and White Christian Nationalism. Now MICAH is following up with a press conference and program called “We All Belong: Protect our Democracy, Reject ‘christian’ Nationalism, Build the Beloved Community.” It will feature local clergy speaking out against white christian nationalism and how it is hurting our democracy.
The action is on Thursday, August 3rd from 1 – 3:30 pm in Milwaukee. It includes a press conference, a short march (about 5 blocks), and a program. You can attend any or all parts of the program.
It would be great to have a good turnout of UU’s – wear a MICAH, SOPHIA, UUCW, or Side with Love t-shirt if you have one. I plan to attend and if you want to carpool let me know – I can take 3 – 4 others.
