“When Love Sleeps …”

Loading Events

When love sleeps, fear prevails. We will discuss the relationship between religion and politics by exploring the early conflicts that helped to form our new republic. The conversation will continue with our current affairs where political candidates are being elevated to prophethood. Throughout we will hold the balance of love and fear as a basic condition of human existence.

About our Guest: Rev. Mark Richards came to Wisconsin in 2016 to serve as a hospice chaplain in Door County. In 2021, Mark was invited to join the Wisconsin Unitarian Universalist State Action Network board of directors, where he was chosen to lead the next phase of its development.  He was ordained in 2018 by the First Parish of Concord, Massachusetts.  Mark believes that UU principles guide us to bring about a world in which each person realizes the unique spirit they are born to be.
