Hi everyone,

I am new Board of Trustees member Kathy White. Places you may have seen me on Sunday mornings are at the door greeting people, in the coffee room talking with members and visitors, and browsing the book stand. It’s been an honor to serve on the Nominating Committee, the Worship Ministry Team, and the Lay Pastoral Care group. My wife Cathy and I have participated in Dinners in the Home, Soul Matters groups, and adult education classes. Being active at UUCW has helped me build community and form lasting friendships.

I value ongoing education. This fall I will register for the “Beloved Conversations” course from Meadville Lombard Theological School to further my knowledge of racism and white supremacy. As an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, I continue to study, learn and speak up for those marginalized and brutalized in society.

I have three children: my daughters Jenny and Lisa and my son Greg. My seven grandchildren live within driving distance and are young adults. When we can, Cathy and I enjoy traveling, museum-hopping, and enjoying family and friends.

I look forward to meeting more of you and hearing your vision for our church. In this exciting period of restructuring and transition, we are the sustaining presence moving through this time together. Being on the Board is a privilege and a meaningful way for me to give back what I have so freely received as a member.

Peace and Love,
Kathy White
