A message from Jeanne Jarecki:
As a member of UUCW’s Anti-Racism Transformation Team, I am frequently sent messages with opportunities to join events that take place. With COVID keeping me indoors and my frustration rising I thought it would be a good time to share a virtual opportunity we can easily join in.

On January 6th, exactly one year later, we are grounding in our commitment to building a beloved community–a multi-racial democracy where our leaders are accountable to the people, and voters decide the outcomes of elections. Democracy is not a partisan issue, but a foundational element of a just society that recognizes the worth and dignity of all. There are close to 300 events being held around the country.

With so many great events in our area, the Anti-Racism Transformation Team decided to encourage you to join events today that fit with your schedule. We also want to admit that we don’t need to always re-invent the wheel with our own service. We can join and partner with others, such as UUA’s “Side With Love” Action Center.

Happy New Year everyone. Jeanne Jarecki
P.S. If you find any opportunities, you would like to share with the Anti-Racism Transformation Team please feel free to send me an email.
