  • Work with the church in developing & living out an intentionally anti-racist identity in all aspects of church life including:
    • Promoting dialogue and learning within the church community about the origins and functioning of systemic racism;
    • Integrating an anti-racist perspective into the formal and informal structures, policies, procedures, practices, and documents of the church.
    • Developing meaningful partner relationships between the church & communities of color.
  • Recognize it is time for our church and its members to acknowledge that maintaining the status quo is no longer sustainable or acceptable. Work towards social justice and the dismantling of racism and other forms of oppression & discrimination.
  • Be intentionally inclusive in recruiting for positions within our church.
  • Take into account the racial justice impact of our financial decisions.
  • Work to understand how oppression has shaped our lives.
  • Engage in meaningful dialogue about the ways we internalize racism & oppression.
  • Develop tools to move beyond guilt and blame toward action to dismantle white supremacy culture.
  • Create an ongoing process to dismantle racism and oppression individually, organizationally, and institutionally in all aspects of church life.
  • Connect to other groups in the community making anti-racist/anti-oppressive change.
