Kathy is a retired science teacher, currently writing, and since she can’t stop teaching, conducting workshops on nature storytelling across the generations.

For the months of March and April, UUCW will support the Pewaukee Food Pantry.

Churches in the Pewaukee area formed the Inter-Church Lay Council in 1969 to assist people with rides to appointments, grocery shopping, and other needs. The Pewaukee Food Pantry was organized in 1983 to address the food needs in the area. The pantry was originally located in the River Hills Health Care Center but moved to its current location, the Gethsemane United Methodist Church, in 2004.

The pantry serves around 200 families a month, and in today’s economic environment, the number of families and senior citizens needing assistance is growing.

The Pewaukee Food Pantry is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 am to 11:00 am and requires set up and tear down each day it is open. learn more about Pewaukee Food Pantry or visit their Facebook page.

  • Cereal
