Every year the nominating committee is tasked with creating a slate of member candidates for the Board of Trustees, the Endowment Committee, and the Nominating Committee. That slate of candidates will be brought before the congregation for election at the annual meeting in the spring. We ask all of you to strongly consider the opportunity to be a part of the leadership and governance of this community – a community that means so much to us all. As we continue through a period of interim ministry and begin the process of calling a new long-term minister, the nominating committee believes we would benefit from having a slate of candidates representing the wonderful diversity of our congregation. From the long-standing member of the congregation looking for a way to reengage, or further engage, in the good works of the church, to the newer member with an aspiration for making their new home all it can be, we would love to hear from you. Serving is not only a great way to help with the governance of the church, but it is also a great way to get to know other members.
In the coming weeks, the Nominating Committee will be personally contacting individual members of the congregation to fill the positions on the Board and the other two aforementioned committees. Your gifts, talents, and time are welcomed and very much needed. Even if you don’t contact us, we may contact you! Regardless, we ask that you give strong consideration to the opportunity to serve UUCW.
