This Peace Pole was originally installed on the east property on Mother’s Day 2010 after a Sunday service. It is notable that Mother’s Day originated as a call for women to improve global policymaking and seek peace and has evolved into a day to honor women’s work and role in the family. Our Peace Pole was moved indoors in 2013.
Peace Poles are an iconic symbol of May Peace Prevail on Earth International, founded in Japan in 1955.
