November was a busy month for the UUCW PieceMakers quilting group. In addition to an outing to the Wisconsin Museum of Quilts and Fiber Arts in Cedarburg, group members joined UUCW member Kathy Herrewig in delivering fleece blankets they had made to the Epilepsy Monitoring Center at Children’s Hospital. The delivery trip included a tour of the center.

PieceMakers is an affinity group for people interested in sewing and quilting. All ages and levels of sewers and quilters are welcome, from beginners to experts. Members enjoy fellowship and learn from and are inspired by other members Activities include demos by group members, outings to quilting related events, and sharing ideas and projects. In addition to personal projects, members make quilts for the benefit of UUCW and charity quilts which serve as an outreach between UUCW and the community.

PieceMakers meets the third and fifth Saturdays of the month at 9:30 am.  The next meeting is Saturday, December 21. Contact Carolyn Lawrence for more information.
