Split the Plate is one of UUCW’s programs of outreach and generosity. Each month we give half of all undesignated offering monies to a non-profit organization as a way to help us live our Unitarian Universalist values and serve our community.

The Sisters Program of the Benedict Center is a street outreach, case management and skill building program for women in prostitution and or/sex trafficking. The program is an innovative community-police partnership and is gaining recognition as a more effective way to improve the health and safety of women and communities.
The Sisters Program receives support and involvement from a multidisciplinary team of residents, businesses, faith leaders, local government, and community organizations. In six short years, the Sisters Program has created a safe and confidential path from prostitution to a new life free of danger, incarceration and even death for women, many trying to protect and care for their children.
