Come gather outdoors at UUCW for our “Sunday Socials” offering opportunities to celebrate our summer themes of learning and spiritual growth. Reunite with members and friends and enjoy a cool drink with Rev. Suzelle, Rev. Denise and/or Dave Cicero, Director of Lifespan Religious Education while participating in fun activities for all ages.
Sunday Socials will take place in either the East parking lot or the grassy West side of the church outside the West doors. Times vary – see below! Watch your weekly-e-news for North Ave. construction and parking guidance.
PLAY – June 27 – 10 am to 11 am followed by Worship Service viewing outdoors!
Play is the most powerful tool of childhood, the tool we use to make meaning of the world we are growing into. Join us for games and fun to practice remembering we can write our own rules; restore our freedom and return to joy. After the social hour, enjoy viewing the Sunday Service from the Unitarian Universalist Association’s General Assembly outdoors!
HANDS-ON NATURE – August 1 – 11:30 to 1 pm
Discover (or rediscover!) the wonder and mystery in our environment and the world of nature. Explore the web of life, the nature-spirit connection, and our Seventh UU Principle with summertime nature activities, songs, and more.
BEING UU – September 12 – 11:30 to 1 pm
How did Unitarian Universalism become a thing? What does a UU identity imply? How do we live out UU values in the world? Engage and learn who you are as a UU person, and who we are as a community. This will include Ingathering and Water Communion activities.
*Social distancing and mask requirements will follow CDC and UUCW’s ROC-19/Re-Opening after COVID-19 Task Force guidelines.
