CommUUnity Connections provides a helping hand or tangible support to members of the church community in times of need.

Julie Toman will be the CommUUnity Connections Coordinator for October.

“I’ve been a member of UUCW since 2005. I a retired Home Economics/FACE teacher that worked with middle, high school students and taught a program for pregnant/parenting teens. I enjoy gardening and cooking/baking. I also teach an assortment of classes for local Recreation Departments and for Allo Chocolate, a store in Waukesha where I live. I enjoy being able to offer help that may be needed.”
You can contact Julie if you need assistance or know someone who needs assistance.

CommUUnity Connection’s goal is to help members help one another. We maintain a list of members who can provide helpful assistance to others in our church. We respond with caring, sympathy, and concern to needs expressed by connecting members with each other. Community Connections doesn’t replace the natural caring people at UUCW have for their friends but helps enhance our shared ministry of support and compassion. Team members work with Rev. Julie to help us weave a strong and caring network of support in our church.

Would you like to be part of the CommUUnity Connections Team? Volunteers often help in the following ways:

  • Serving as a regular “ride to church” for a senior member of our community (driving teams).
  • Other driving, like running an errand for someone in need, or providing a ride to a doctor’s appointment.
  • Preparing or providing a meal for someone in need (like after a hospitalization).

To volunteer, contact Julie Toman.
