UUCW’s Earth Ministry is informing our congregation of upcoming community events:

Lincoln Creek River Clean-up: Sat August 28th from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m
Join the Great Waters Group of the Sierra Club Saturday, Saturday, August 28th, for their summer Lincoln Creek Adopt-A-River Cleanup. Meet at the Bee Bus sign on 35th and Congress in Milwaukee. Bags, trash pickers and packaged snacks and beverages will be provided. Please bring your own gloves and a reusable water bottle. This event is in partnership with Nearby Nature Milwaukee and Northwest Side CDC.

The Waukesha County Green Team is hosting a Sustainability Fair at Retzer Nature Center (S14 W28167 Madison St, Waukesha, WI).

Wauwatosa Green Summit – Wauwatosa City Hall Parking Lot, 7725 W. North Avenue
Saturday, September 11:
Recycling, from 8 a.m to 1 p.m. in the City Hall Parking Lot, 7725 W. North Avenue. Recycling stations will include: Wauwatosa CrimeStoppers Shredding, Medicine, Textiles and Bikes.
Exhibitors, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Lower Civic Center at Wauwatosa City Hall.
Presentation at 11 a.m. in the Upper Civic Center “Sustainable Investing for Our Future”, by Heather Deaton CFP®, CSRIC™, Wealth Advisor at Ellenbecker Investment Group.

Saturday, September 18:
Recycling, from 8 a.m to 1 p.m. in the City Hall Parking Lot, 7725 W. North Avenue. Recycling stations will include: MMSD Household Hazardous Waste (Milwaukee County Residents only) and electronics. There is a $35 cash charge for TVs and $10 for computer monitors.
