UUCW’s Anti-Racism Transformation Team has been meeting at least monthly via Zoom since February.  Team members have been consulting with various UU and community resources to guide our work.

In June we dialogued with Paula Cole Jones about engaging in the change process, importance of visioning, levels of readiness to being part of a multicultural society, and assessment.  Paula is lead creator of the 8th Principle, founder of ADORE (A Dialogue on Race & Ethnicity), a former president of DRUUMM (Diverse and Revolutionary Unitarian Universalist Multicultural Ministries) and an independent consultant specializing in multicultural competencies and institutional change.

In July the Team worked on the draft of our mission statements.  This document is an ongoing work in progress. View here.

Ultimately, this is work that we will all need to do together!  These are just some of the many, many steps we will make along our collective journey.
