If you plan on any bathroom remodeling this fall, here’s how to identify products that save water AND work great.
Much like EPA’s EnergyStar program, the WaterSense label is the go-to way to identify products that are better for the environment. WaterSense was established in 2006 and since then, thousands of models of products that carry the label have become readily available wherever plumbing fixtures are sold. Since then, the program has helped Americans save 4.4 trillion gallons of water! What makes WaterSense great is that it’s not only about saving water—products must also be independently certified to pass performance tests. If you’re looking for new products, check out EPA’s searchable list to make sure it’s a good choice for saving water.
