Split the Plate is one of UUCW’s programs of outreach and generosity. Each month we give half of all undesignated offering monies to a non-profit organization as a way to help us live our Unitarian Universalist values and serve our community.
Healing Hearts depends on many hands to operate. Our volunteer facilitators are the heart of Healing Hearts. Their care and compassion make a difference in the lives of grieving children and adults.
Bobbe Rybak has been a dedicated volunteer with Healing Hearts for the past 9 years. She facilitates the 4 thru 6-year olds and eagerly provides creative activities for the children and families to experience. When asked, Bobbe shared that what she enjoys most about volunteering is the love she receives from the children. Even though she is there to give, she learns so much more from them. Bobbe also gets excited when she observes the children using the coping strategies and relaxation skills she taught them.
