Our Earth Ministry tips this quarter will focus on “Responsible Consumption”. That term derives from the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal #12, but our tips will focus on aspects of it that you can use in your everyday lives. What is responsible consumption? It could mean using less of a product or foregoing a purchase altogether. It could be mean buying from a local producer or choosing something made from renewable materials. For us, “responsible” means being mindful of our choices and their varied impacts. Finding good information about products’ environmental and health impacts can be challenging. Fortunately, there are sources you can use when considering a purchase. Be a responsible consumer and make a difference for the Earth!
