Two friendly volunteer photographers have been capturing the fun and special moments during worship at UUCW in recent months. They are doing a great job!
Mary Catanese is new to our church and is eagerly attending services while her granddaughter Sophia attends Religious Education. Mary taught photography at MATC and Mount Mary University and has been working for various newspapers for 35 years.
Mary says, “The song claims, ‘every picture tells a story’ and they’re meant to be shared. They spark a conversation; they can show joy or sadness. …it’s my pleasure to share them with this welcoming community.”
Sarah Frey, along with her husband Steve, has been a member of UUCW since 2006 and she’s been taking photos for us ever since. Sarah graduated from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design with a BFA degree in Drawing. Her love of figure drawing classes led to specializing in the composition of framing the figure(s) within a photo.
The next time you see either of these photojournalists, give them a big smile and offer your appreciation.
