To help keep safety top of mind, the UUCW Safety and Security Committee (SSC) maintains and regularly updates our Emergency Operations Plan (EOP). The plan addresses a range of scenarios, including medical emergencies, severe weather, fires, and active threats.
Committee Roles and Training
The SSC provides training on specific safety roles for the Emergency Response Team (ERT), which includes the Board, staff, ministry leaders, ushers, greeters, and committee members. Church members are always welcome to attend these training sessions.
